The short-stay rehabilitation unit is an ideal healing environment providing outstanding recovery care from surgical procedures and medical conditions, such as total joint replacement, spine surgery, stroke, and head trauma. The goal of the new unit is to seamlessly bridge the rehab initiated in the hospital with the therapies provided at St. Margaret Hall to in order to assure a successful transition to home.

The unit’s highly skilled specialists offer individualized treatment plans that include physical, occupational, and speech/language therapies offered seven days a week. Patients also enjoy the advantages of state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and amenities with all the comforts of home.

The short-stay rehabilitation unit features:

• Nine private patient rooms with handicapped-accessible bathrooms with showers
• A therapy gym outfitted with a variety of equipment to strengthen muscles, improve balance and reduce pain
• A fully-equipped kitchen to allow patients to practice home-making skills as they prepare to return home.
